Making Lori nervous

Lori L. was able to shoot this cute pic the other night, even though she was petrified that I was going to drop Lexi.

But I didn't.

Thanks again for the pic, LAL. I rarely get shots of us together.

Teeny tiny graduate

Today, we got news that Lexi will be moving to Toddler 3 on Monday. This means she'll be in a classroom without a toddler door to keep her put -- and that she'll be rejoining some of her friends who graduated before her, including Abby, Harrison and Stephanie. She's very excited.

And speaking of a big girl, while using Jaime's computer this weekend, I found this adorable old photo of a very little girl. Awwwwwwww.

Ah, crap

Well, our Labor Day was going pretty well... for a while.

Went out for breakfast, which ALWAYS makes Dennis happy. See?

Made two friends -- one human, one poultry.

Made a wish in a fountain. (More Dora! Fewer naps!)

But then, we returned home to this. Mom and dad's car vandalized by Delano hooligans. I think I could easily nominate a few suspects. They hit lots of cars on my street, and some suffered much worse damage than an obliterated mirror.

Dennis was so sad/mad, he forgot all about breakfast. I hate hooligans.

Adios, G.C.K.

They've been trying a year and a half to sell their house in Garden City. And last week, my parents finally did it. To say they are thrilled is an understatement.

They were supposed to spend Labor Day weekend keeping Lexi and I company, but understandably, they changed their plans to go house hunting in Missouri. They both grew up in the Carthage/Joplin area and are planning to move back there.

They're on there way here right now with pictures of two houses they're interested in but can't decide between. I told them I'd choose for them.

"Hasson and MAAAddy"

Lexi and I woke up this morning, noticed how cool it was outside, and decided to call up three of the coolest people we know: Amy, Maddy and Harrison. Or as Lexi calls them "Hasson and MAAAddy."

We met the Mairs family at Panera then caravaned over to Eastborough Park for some playground action. Maddy is a month away from turning 5, and Harrison is just over a month older than Lexi. The two 2-year-olds go to the same school. (Amy recommended it to me.)

Apologies to Annie Calovich and the duck population. They looked so...HUNGRY.

Sorry

Sorry I've been absent for a few days. Nick is in New Orleans at Mike Marlett's bachelor party, and since none of our work laptops have the capabilities to let him do his job, he took off with ours, leaving me Macless.

After three days of sulking, I finally thought to ask Jaime if I could borrow her spare.

By the way, she's got a new blog. Check it out at http://scruffinsmultimedia.blogspot.com/

More posts coming soon.

SUCH a good influence

This is what happens when you leave Jaime and Lexi in the car together while you go into Dillon's for 10 minutes.
