They've been trying a year and a half to sell their house in Garden City. And last week, my parents finally did it. To say they are thrilled is an understatement.They were supposed to spend Labor Day weekend keeping Lexi and I company, but understandably, they changed their plans to go house hunting in Missouri. They both grew up in the Carthage/Joplin area and are planning to move back there.
They're on there way here right now with pictures of two houses they're interested in but can't decide between. I told them I'd choose for them.
Wow. Did you live in G.C. your whole life? Does it feel strange that they're leaving? Going "home" will mean driving the complete opposite direction.
